One young woman could be the miracle that heals a dying dragon -- and unites a family with her love.

Lucia, born a lady in a foreign land, now waits tables for her keep. When she sees Sir Reynor wasting away, she storms the Castle Lair seeking help for the dying dragon. What she finds is a dashing rogue, a mighty dragoness, and a contrite knight who blames himself for his dragon partner's injury.

• Lucia - foreign-born and taken in by the Jinn when her noble family was overthrown, Lucy's made a place for herself as a tavern wench. She's the only one brave enough to serve the dragons and knights who sometimes drop by for an evening's entertainment.
• Sir Kaden - warrior of great talent, he blames himself for his dragon partner's injury in battle. He can't face Reynor, who may never fly again, and he can't live with the guilt plaguing him.
• Sir Marcus - partner to Linea and Kaden's friend. A gentleman as well as a warrior, he knows how to treat a lady.
• Reynor - a male dragon gravely injured in battle. He blames himself and shies away from the concern of his knight, hiding in a Jinn tavern while his life slowly slips away.
• Linea - female dragon partner to Sir Marcus and the unclaimed mate of Reynor.
